Wordpress 101 Class Screencast

Date June 26, 2008

The Technology Dojo had an introduction to Wordpress class last week and I recorded the Wordpress Tour. If you are new to Wordpress and you want know if this tool is a fit for you this tour could be helpful. It is about 36 minutes long and it is the recording of a live class.

If you can think of other classes you would like to see at the Technology Dojo please leave a comment below.

This is an excellent overview of how to use WordPress for your website. I will be passing on to my clients for their own education. Style Master, Firebug, SEO All in One plugin, this could have been 4 posts! Nice job.

Is there a WordPress plugin to clone a site? So for instance, I’ve created a WordPress site for a client that I’m happy with, and I want to have a similar structure/style/layout for another project. Could you use the export feature and then import that into the new project? Just curious.

    Michael,
One way to clone a WordPress site is to.

1.Export all from the Manage menu.
2.Next copy the entire wp-content folder which contains your themes and plugi-ns.

    3. Fine tune permalinks and other settings.

Sounds like the could be a wordpress cloning plugin? Good question for the WordPress forums.

    Thanks for the comment Michael.
